Decaj is a wonderful large, airy and very comfortable villa nestled in the rolling landscape of the exclusive cap estate area with beautiful surrounding views of the north and west coast of St Lucia, the Island premier championship golf course and is close to the historical pigeon island national park. The Caribbean sea, several beaches and the 18 hole championship golf course are only a short drive away, as are the lively towns of Rodney bay and Gros islet if want to venture out for some evening entertainment. Decaj is located in an elevated quiet and idyllic area of Cap estate which is at the northern tip of St Lucia, with views from the first floor patio that are simply amazing. It is quite simply as close as you will get to peace on earth.
The owners of Decaj completed a refurbishment program in Feb 2019 that included considerable upscale renovation and refurbishment both inside and out, which includes the addition of a brand new indoor games area equipped with a pool table and air hockey table.
There is a myriad of places to sit, eat and drink at Villa Decaj with two pool side Gazebo’s and 3 patio/balcony seating areas – a number of which have beautiful views. You can choose from the pool patio sun loungers, the hammock located in the elevated gazebo overlooking the pool with ocean views; the side garden patio with ocean views that also overlooks the dedicated basket ball playing area. Adjacent to the basketball playing area you can retreat to the outside ground floor patio area where you can slump into any one of the 3 comfortable sofas and indulge yourself in afternoon cocktails as the ocean breeze cools your sun kissed skin.
The poolside gazebo and poolside dining table provide seating for 10-12 persons and the 10 sun loungers available means everyone who wants to can lay in sun or under the lovely poolside palm trees that provide welcome shade from the mid afternoon sun. If you feel like getting away from everyone there is a secluded area nestled down beyond the pool area where can sit and just be.
The 1st Floor patio is the villas piece-de-resistance with panoramic views of the Ocean and the Sandals 18 hole championship golf course equipped with a dining table and sumptuous seating which will accommodate 10 people to alfresco dine as well as comfortable sofas where you can kick back and indulge yourself in evening cocktails while you watch the sunset, being caressed by the cool ocean breeze that visits the patio most evenings, this patio also boasts a rocking chair guaranteed to rock to sleep as the night draws in.
The inside, upstairs dining area has a beautiful handmade Mahogany table and chairs where you can also enjoy your meals in the comfort of a fan cooled environment. The newly refurbished kitchen is well appointed with granite work tops, modern appliances and under cupboard worktop lighting.
The 1st Floor lounge – Is a beautifully appointed light and airy space with its fabulous vaulted ceilings and a large concertina French door that open onto the large patio, with willowy beige curtains if you need a little privacy (although no one can see you from here as Decaj is not overlooked!). The lounge is presented with a mixture of sumptuous sofas, tastefully coordinated furniture , large 55” “Smart” Flat screen Panasonic LED television equipped with Netflix, HD cable system, combined DVD, CD & home cinema system. Wi-Fi is also available for the convenience and enjoyment of our guests and is available both inside and outside on the patios, pool decks and gazebos.
The ground floor lounge is a gorgeous fan cooled open space that has an array of tastefully coordinated sofas and chairs equipped with a 49” Panasonic HDTV, HD cable system, Sony Muti-changer CD system that is Ipod compatible and is now presented with a new dual fan cooled games area equipped with a 7ft pool table and air hockey table for our guest to enjoy, that leads out onto the pool area and lower patio concourse through double patio doors.
The two bedroom suites on the first floor have air conditioning as does the bedroom suite and two further large bedrooms on the ground floor.
The 1st floor master suite has ocean views, its own en suite bathroom, dressing room and walk in wardrobe with private safe. All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated with soft pastel colours and all incorporate large fitted wall robes.
Rowlina, our housekeeper, is on duty 6 days a week to ensure your stay is as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. Rowlina will prepare your breakfast each morning and lunch each afternoon from whatever groceries you purchase; and present your meals on which ever dining deck you choose, Rowlina will also prepare your evening meal and leave it for you to pop in the oven when you are ready.
Rowlina will wash any clothes you leave for her as part of your stay at Decaj, for a small additional fee, and Linton our gardener will ensure that all outside guest areas and pools are cleaned, Linton also ensures that Decaj is well looked after and maintained to a high standard and will ensure that the garden is looking at its best, maintaining the wonderful flowers and plants around the grounds and patio areas.
Our Housekeeping service included as part of your stay Monday to Saturday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Please note, that our housekeeper is not a trained nanny and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants or children.
